What we record

To understand how FloatingWetlands.com is used and to keep it working, we record usage of this website in our own database. This first-party analytics does not use an external analytics service or advertising cookies, and we do not build advertising profiles from these records.

• What you do: the pages you open, how long a page is open in the foreground, how far you scroll, and actions such as tapping a phone number or email address, clicking an island kit's add-to-cart button (with the number of kits), opening the sizing calculator, and sending the quote request form. For the quote form we record only which “I Am A...” option you chose; nothing you type into the form is recorded. We also record the domain of links you follow to other sites.
• How the site performs: page-speed measurements, and error messages from the site with web addresses, email addresses, ids and long numbers removed before they are sent.
• Where a visit came from: the domain of the site that linked you here and any campaign tags in that link (utm_ values limited to letters, numbers and simple punctuation).
• Your device, in general terms: device type, operating system and browser family (the full browser identification string is not kept), screen-width range and language.
• Approximate location: your country and state or province, which our hosting provider derives from your connection. Your IP address, city and postal code are not stored with these records.

A random device id stored in this browser, and a random id for each visit, connect this activity across visits. This is pseudonymous data, not anonymous data. Analytics never accepts free text such as names, email addresses or messages you type into forms. Detailed records are deleted after 14 months; after that only daily totals without any ids are kept.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, FloatingWetlands.com records no first-party usage analytics.

Google Analytics

This site also uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. Google Analytics collects its own usage information and is not covered by the first-party analytics description above, and the choices above apply only to our first-party analytics. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see Google's page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
